Honestly, is your site really 1,320KB in size? How do you expect me to open the site on my phone when I’m not on WIFI?
All over the web, so called web site experts have sites which take more than 1MB to load. Lately I’ve seen some with as many as 3MB to load. If you can’t get it done in under 150KB then you should probably hire a better developer.
I understand some complex React application are heavier to load due to the 150KB just for React. But really, your website should not be built in React.
My main business website loads in 47.3KB and drives me crazy that is is so heavy. Something like 20% of the size is the custom font which I consider killing at least twice a day.
Even the homepage of this site, which unnecessarily loads Svelte for FAQ, is still only 59.8K.
Lets Do A Quick Test
| Page Size | Uncached Load Time |
| 59.8KB | 261 ms |
| 1.6MB | 959 ms |
Alright, not too bad on my 1GB synchronous internet.
Let’s try again, this time on 4G.
| Page Size | Uncached Load Time |
| 59.8KB | 763 ms |
| 1.6MB | 3,670 ms |
Geeze, nearly 4 seconds to load your site. Not to mention eating up my monthly data.
