The options for the “Go Live” tool don’t show when I access the Tools section to move this website from the /wordpress/ file to the “root” file. As a precaution I have copied the most recent files and documents to both the “root” level and a /wordpress/ sub-file until everything is properly transferred and visible!
This is a kind of “acid test” for similar action on a dozen other small business and “artistic” (actor) websites I manage, so it’s crucial I get the process “down pat” with this website – then duplicate the process for the others.
I have uploaded the “go-live-update-urls-pro” file to websites where I need to move the contents to the “root” URL. The basic version is also installed. They show up as 2 distinct files on the FTP. Is this the reason that the “pro” version doesn’t show on the WordPress dashboard when I try to update URLs in the Tools section? I only see the “basic” version – inciting me to use the Pro version.
Please advise on this, using this website example as a blueprint for the many others to follow!
Many thanks in advance,
